The Christmas Spirit

On Christmas Eve a fire devastated the home of a family of five children who lived in the mountains just west of Denver. A Denver man watched TV coverage of the dramatic blaze, then drove to the fire scene with an amazing offer. He has a five-bedroom home for sale, but he offered to take it off the market and rent it to the family for a dollar as long as they need it!

The fire erupted just before sunrise with soaring flames that devoured the home. A son was home from the Marines. He and four teen siblings escaped unharmed, as did the parents.

Christmas night the family, dressed entirely in donated clothes and shoes, showed up at the Denver Rescue Mission, to help serve dinner to the homeless!

Funny how it is that acts of kindness seem to bring a tear to these eyes of mine.

Dammit...why has the screen gone all blurry now?

Seriously, that's some good folks you have living over there.

Makes you believe once again in the goodness and kindness of the average guy.
