Tonight's Sky Show

When we saw these powerful thunderclouds building up, and flashing lightning, we got a little worried. We kept watch. They moved on upward and eastward toward Kansas.

Thank you for kind words Bob. I only have to blog once every 2 weeks so it's not a hardship. That is too weird for words. I was in Topeka in 1966; we were on Forbes AFB. I'll never forget what I saw then. Been leery of bad thunderstorms ever since. Did you have damage?

Yes, minor damage. The tornado missed our house by one block in Topeka.

Have driven across Kansas in every conceivable weather condition, including a hornets nest of tornados coming through western Kansas. I hid under any underpass I could and literally prayed I wouldn't be taken by wind to Nebraska...

I'll be coming through soon again...and in spite of it all, can't wait!

Gee thanks for the storms, Bob! Like we needed 'em!

Just wait a couple months and I'll be complaining we aren't getting any moisture and you Coloradans are hogging it all.

Beautiful pictures but I can see why you would have been concerned. I'm glad they moved safely over you!
