It Ain't Just Us Hill Folks

You have heard the media talk about Obama's "Appalachian problem?" He did not do well with the folks who live in the hills of West Virginia, Pennslyvania, and Kentucky. But what about the people who live in the counties along the Ohio River Valley that stretches across Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, West Virginia and Pennsylvania?

Rich Horton of Blue Crab Boulevard has analyzed the results of voting in those counties. Of the 133 counties in the Ohio River Valley, Obama managed to win 4! He lost 103 counties (77%) by more than 30 percentage points.

It ain't just us hill folks.
