Second terms often do not go smoothly

Historian Victor Davis Hanson points out that second terms often do not go smoothly. He mentions Watergate, Iran-Contra, Monica Lewinsky, the Iraqi insurgency and Hurricane Katrina, and now we have Benghazi, and several other issues covered up before the most recent election, which Hanson describes as a toxic mix that "may tax even the formidable Chicago-style survival skills of Obama and the fealty of a so far dutiful media."
