Want some inspiration? Take a look at the young woman holding the American flag. She is Missy Franklin, 17, who will be a senior in high school in Denver this fall. The first thing she said in an interview after winning the gold medal in the backstroke yesterday was that she is thankful to God for the gifts He has given her. The second thing she said was that she was grateful that her parents could be with her on this occasion.
