Duh!

Three-year-old Linebacker Dude is really enjoying his role as Daddy's helper. He feels so much more accepted as a part of our family. He knows I need lots of help, and, since he is Mr. Independent, Mr. "Can Do," he is really trying to be helpful. We have completely changed our attitude toward him. We greet him every day in a way that lets him know we are glad to see him and we value him. It is making all of the difference in the world. Just like the rest of us, he wants to be loved and accepted and valued. Duh!

Good for you. I've been following the Linebacker Dude with great interest.

In the day-to-day stresses that come with any family, it's often hard to remember to 'catch them being good'. But noticing those few seconds can turn into so many more. Y'all are doing a wonderful job. I love those pictures of Linebacker and Mau-Mau...beautiful, happy children!
