Senator Dianne Feinstein has been the chairwoman of the Senate Subcommittee on Military Construction Appropriations. She stepped down from that post last week when watchdog groups began asking how her husband's companies were awarded billions of dollars in federal defense contracts while she was chairwoman!
This is the same Senator Dianne Feinstein who, in September 2002, took a trip to Europe and said she was "embarrassed to wear" her U.S. flag lapel pin!
