Weak-kneed, mealy-mouth, loose-lipped Senators

Editor's note: This is a guest post by my friend Col. Curt Dale.

Open Letter to Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham!

Rand Paul filibustered for 12 hours and 55 minutes to force Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder to come clean on whether Obama considers it acceptable to strike American Citizens on American Soil with Drones--as he's said he does. He was successful in forcing Obama and Holder into an answer. Isn't that the first time anyone has backed the dictator, Obama, into a corner. It was a terse answer, but it was an answer.

So what do the weak-kneed twin nummies, Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham have to say about it? "It's not helpful!" said John McCain. That was parroted by Graham. That's the John McCain who totally messed up his Presidential campaign for the election and the John McCain who gave us McCain Feingold and the John McCain who gave us the Kennedy--McCain crap every time we turned around. And this is the John McCain who feels qualified to call something not helpful? Frankly from all I see, McCain wasn't a good pilot as he nearly destroyed an Aircraft Carrier because of an in-cockpit mess-up, setting the carrier on fire and killing several people. Likewise, he surely isn't a good senator. Seemingly, his best days were in Hanoi as a POW. Yes, I know I'm nearly speaking heresy to even mention that. But he's ridden that horse long enough.

So, I won't take that away from him as he became a national hero for his actions in the Hanoi Hilton. Salute! Don't think me unappreciative of what he did there. I just don't think he's remained true to his actions at that point in time. I'm no hero and glad I wasn't forced into that role by events, but I did my 3 tours in Vietnam flying 153 combat missions of one sort or another. I have other friends who were also POWs, so he doesn't have a monopoly on that role. Anyway, what happened when McCain finally retired from the Navy? Totally nutso political positions all the way. No basic fundamentals in his political positions whatsoever. Just will o' the wisp! I won't give him a pass on what he's doing wrong, because of those heroic days, Particularly when he's been taking away our rights, right along with his liberal buddies, for too many years and is now castigating Rand Paul for trying to keep our rights intact.

Lindsey Graham? Just a mealy-mouthed, loose-lipped braggart who has no fundamental scruples at all. He'll go with the flow, sound good, and vote to keep the most powerful folks of the moment happy with him. His votes rarely match his rhetoric. He will be right there with John McCain to grab the microphone and look into the camera at the drop of a hat, sounding and looking tough. Then it's into the Senate to go with the liberal flow.

Anyway, GO RAND PAUL! I like his style. I also like his follow-up to the terse answer, forcing Obama/Holder to expand. Paul's now of the opinion that even that answer is not enough and is demanding more. Good for him! I think he may be Presidential timber. But he has to keep his backbone. This is a good launch for Rand Paul. I've liked what he's been saying for months. Could be a worthy prospect! Not sure about Rubio who says a lot of good things then disappointments me with his votes at times. But, given that, Rubio is still a start, while McCain and Graham are pure embarrassments.

Well, watch out for McCain and Graham to pull out the long knives to go after Rand Paul. They are vindictive to the core, despite the soft, dismissive rhetoric they spew into the microphone.
