Republican hand-wringing

Now that Obama has received a boost in the polls, following the Dem Convention, Republicans are worried whether Romney has the passion to confront Obama and defeat him. Republicans had a man who had the passion, not only to take on Obama, but also to take on Obama's media sycophants. That man was Newt Gingrich. Gingrich came in a very distant third behind Romney and Santorum. I have little sympathy for the Republican hand-wringing that is going on now.

In fact, it was Gingrich himself who told Hardball's Chris Matthews that Romney is "a very tough competitor," he proclaimed, "and he takes no prisoners."
