Today's student conduct agreement

Today, when her mom took her back to school for her eighth-grade year, our daughter's teacher handed mom a form to sign. By signing, we were agreeing our child would adhere to a student conduct agreement. The last item asked her not to discriminate on the basis of gender identification or immigration status. Mom did not sign the form. Instead, she wrote that our daughter will not violate her conscience in regard to gender identification, and she will not be put in a position to violate federal law in regards to immigration.
