Is there a CIA connection to Mateen's father?

Tyler Durden reports at Zero Hedge that Omar Mateen's father, who is running for President of Afghanistan, has visited the Obama White House and the Hillary Clinton State Department. He posts pictures of Mateen at the White House, at the State Department, and with various Congressmen who are involved with intelligence committees dealing with Afghanistan.

My own suspicion was first awakened on Monday morning when U.S. news outlets uniformly reported that the father’s TV show aired on a “U.S.-based Afghan satellite channel.”

The name of the nameless Afghan satellite channel, Payam Afghan, is said to be widely-known in Southwest Asia as a CIA-Pakistani ISI construct.
