Who would Trump pick?

Scott Adams thinks right now US Senator Scott Brown from Massachusetts is most likely to be Trump's Vice Presidential running mate. Adams hedges by acknowledging,
As I said, predicting a VP choice is nearly impossible until the last minute because the situation is fluid. A candidate might need some help in a key state, based on current polling. Or the opponent might open up a new line of attack that needs a defense. A lot can change in a few weeks.

I do think it is fun to think about whom Trump might appoint as running mate, and to various cabinet posts. Brown, notes Adams, is handsome. Physical attractiveness is important. Although Republicans have not carried Massachusetts since 1988, Brown might help there and in other New England states. I don't think he would help in Colorado, because of his weak stance on the Second Amendment. He is also for abortion rights. Those last two are important to most people in the base of the Colorado Republican Party.

Adams also thinks the Senator's last name, Brown, would help the Trump/Brown ticket seem less white. Color me unpersuaded. As things stand now, Trump is extremely unpopular among Hispanics. Maybe New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez would help overcome this weakness, but I doubt it. I don't know what she has accomplished as Governor, although she is the current chairwoman of the Republican Governors Association. If Trump were to pick a governor, Scott Walker of Wisconsin has fought and won many battles near and dear to the Republican base.
