Fourth Amendment? What's that?

Here's a story about another recent Florida case. Ted Lyons of the Sarasota Herald Tribune interviewed a woman, her boyfriend, and a U.S. Marshal who pointed a gun at the woman, then forced his way into her apartment, along with a bunch of other cops, looking for a child rapist. They handcuffed the couple, then searched the apartment, although they had no evidence whatsoever that the rapist had been there ever.

Amendment IV, U.S. Constitution: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
