The ACLU sent FOIA requests to all the school districts in South Carolina, and the Freedom From Religion Foundation send a complaint, so the Pickens County South Carolina knuckled under and ended invocations at board meetings and prayer at graduation ceremonies. Valedictorian Roy Costner IV submitted his speech for approval, then at graduation ceremonies, ripped up the prepared speech, thanked his parents for leading him to the Lord, and recited the Lord's Prayer.
