Did you know women are not permitted to pray alongside of men at the Western Wall temple in Jerusalem? They are also not permitted to wear religious garments, such as veils. Israel detained five women yesterday for praying alongside men. There is a proposal by Natan Sharansky to create one section of the wall for both men and women.

Update: Jonathan Tobin explains at Commentary that Muslims control the Temple Mount, and would never approve of the construction necessary to achieve the Sharansky proposal.
