Epigenetics

Have you noticed how the so-called scientific community organizes itself around dogmas? I think a lot of that has to do with government funding of scientific research. Global warming became the dogma, which was altered to "climate change." The central dogma now in the biological sciences is genetics. Are we victims of our hereditary traits?

One scientist is challenging that theory, just as many scientists are challenging Al Gore's global warming thesis. Bruce Lipton writes and speaks about epigenetics, meaning control above the genes.  “We are not locked into our fate, because we have the freedom to change the way we respond to the world,” he explains. “We are masters of our genetics rather than victims of our hereditary traits.  If we have positive beliefs built in our minds, then our behavior and our genes will lead us to health and happiness.” In 2005 Lipton wrote a book entitles The Biology of Belief, and he is interviewed here: http://odewire.com/honeymooneffect
