Sanity and Maturity, versus Craziness

In Carl Hiassen's Nature Girl one of the sanest characters is a twelve-year-old boy. I think there is a lot of truth in that. Children become accustomed to and adjust to the craziness of their parents. I see that in each of my kids. Although each of them have their own quirks that might be cause for concern, each of them also has qualities that help lead the family toward a modicum of sanity.

Truer words were never writ. Seriously. Children seem to deal with their parents very well, better than some of the rest of th family.
