"Penny-Wise Politics"

Thomas Sewell writes this week about "Penny-Wise Politics". His opening comment: "Congress is never more ridiculous than when it tries to look like it is serious." Is that the well-said truth, or what? Sewell notes that Democrats have learned to play the class envy tune for all it is worth. The more Sewell writes, the better it gets.

He is right about having to consider the consequences of political actions as well as the morality. That is an unfortunate side affect of having to deal with political reality.

To me the really sad part is all this is that Chris Dodd and Barney Frank will get re-elected to do even more damage. It's a great day for those who are determined to make America socialistic. While my 2 senators were among the 24 that voted against it. Hurrah for them.
