Terror attack against New York City thwarted, New Orleans braces for Hurricane Nate's arrival tomorrow

International plot to attack New York City thwarted! Times Square and subway system targeted, also music concerts. Undercover FBI agent convinced the terrorists he was with ISIS. A Canadian citizen was arrested. He had purchased bomb-making materials in May, 2016. He has pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing. A US citizen based in Pakistan was arrested and is awaiting extradition to the US. A third suspect is a Phillipine citizen from which country he allegedly wired money to bankroll the attacks.

Tropical Storm Nate has killed at least 22 people in Central America and is headed toward New Orleans tomorrow as a level one hurricane. Vice President Pence is in Puerto Rico where fewer than 1 in 8 have electricity. Hurricanes Harvey and Irma closed thousands of businesses last month causing the loss of 33 thousand jobs. Still, the unemployment rate is just above 4 percent, the lowest level since 2001.
