Shapiro admits Trump's got all the momentum

Ben Shapiro admits,
...it’s difficult not to fall into the trap of believing that the immediate is the permanent. Six weeks ago, conventional wisdom (and my own opinion) was that Donald Trump would be creamed – after all, the man had demonstrated no capacity to control himself, he’d appointed an alt-right-pandering new head to his campaign, and he was trailing by double digits in a bevy of swing states.

Then Wikileaks began dumping material, Hillary Clinton continued to flail, went absent from the campaign trail, called half of Trump’s supporters “deplorables,” and physically collapsed in full sight of cellphone cameras. And Trump began using a teleprompter, logging off Twitter, and generally shutting the hell up more often.

Suddenly Trump’s got all the momentum, and slew of positive polls to boot.

...For Hillary, the problem runs deeper. People think she’s corrupt and dishonest. That’s because she’s corrupt and dishonest. To stop being Hillary, she must stop being corrupt and dishonest. It’s easier to feign sobriety than it is to feign truthfulness. Even when Hillary tells the truth these days, it sounds like a lie. And there’s no way for her to escape herself.
