None dare call it treason

Remember how LBJ scared us into believing that Barry Goldwater was a kook? Colorado's former Congressman Tom Tancredo is another person who has been successfully portrayed as a kook by the Democrat party. Tom does not back away from calling it like he sees it. Friday he wrote an opinion piece at World Net Daily in which he asserted that President Obama is flirting with treason in allowing Iran to become a nuclear power.
President Obama has announced a “deal” with the government of Iran that allows the mullahs openly dedicated to our destruction to proceed on their path to develop nuclear weapons. No one is really surprised by the sellout, as it follows a long train of pro-Islamic policies and a willful blindness to Iran’s jihadist activities and ambitions.

The jihadist gun is loaded and pointed at our head, and soon those bullets will be nuclear warheads. Yet, none dare call it treason.

Obama was quick to intervene in Libya to help overthrow a government that was helping fight al-Qaida in the region, and also has been quick to criticize the new pro-Western government of Egypt. But Obama has never found a reason to voice one word of criticism against the tyrannical policies of Iran’s Islamic regime. Obama has been consistently pro-Iran for six years, so we all had fair warning this sellout to Iran’s nuclear ambitions was coming.

...Iran is not just another Islamic regime spouting anti-American slogans. Iran by its own actions has shown that it is more of a threat to the United States than al-Qaida or ISIS. Helping arm Iran with nuclear weapons should be viewed as an act of treason because “Death to America” is not a street slogan in Tehran; it is the official policy of the government.

It is well documented that Obama has been intensely pro-Palestine and anti-Israel from his college days. His pro-Islamic and his pro-Iran policies are nothing new. What is new is the extent of damage he can do and is doing to American national security at a time of immense danger.

Obama will not submit this “agreement” to the Senate as a treaty to be ratified. That is but one more example of Obama’s contempt for the Constitution and the separation of powers. However, Congress can obstruct the process by refusing to lift the sanctions against Iran and in other ways.

We must hope Congress will take its constitutional responsibility to act a lot more seriously than it has in other areas, such as immigration law and EPA empire-building.

No, I take that back. We should not “hope” Congress will act to block this Iran deal – we must demand it.
