Mayor Rahmfather in trouble

It is less than four weeks to go before Chicago's run-off mayoral election between Rah Emmanuel and Chuy Garcia. Here is a photo from the Chicago Tribune, showing a "hollowed out" Emmanuel.

John Cass writes in the Tribune:
Rahm is in trouble.

He's running away from his own infamous red light cameras.

These are the cameras that squeeze the people of the neighborhoods, but leave the downtown alone. Garcia calls them "Rahm's red light rip-off" and has vowed to get rid of them.

So this week, Rahm announced he's yanking a few out of some intersections. It was a smart, long-overdue move. But a tired-looking Rahm couldn't sell it as policy, and instead it came off as pure political panic.

Then came more bad news: President Barack Obama reportedly has decided to hold off until after the election to announce a site for his presidential library. The choice is between New York and Chicago.

What does this mean? Things are breaking bad for Mayor Rahmfather.
