Deception as a means to an end

From Michelle Obama's Mirror we learn that Nancy Pelosi says she is

certain that all the negative press is just a whole bunch of “hoop de doo and ado” about nothing.

Goodness, was that Freudian? Surely she knows that the plot of Much Ado About Nothing is based on multiple and deliberate deceptions, right? And that one of the play’s major themes is “deception as a means to an end,” right?
