South Carolina: A Huge Disappointment

I am so disappointed that Fred Thompson is coming in a distant third in South Carolina. He is just not catching on. I can get behind Giuliani, and I would also vote for Romney. McCain and Huckabee leave me cold, but I guess I would vote for them over any Democrat. If Thompson and Hunter would team up in a third party, I would be tempted to go with them. That would probably give the election to the Democrats, though, wouldn't it? Maybe McCain, Romney, or Giuliani would select Thompson as his running mate.

A conservative third party would probably hand it to the Deomcrats, but it might be worth a short term loss in order to give the Republicans a kick in the butt and bring them back to the right. They take us Christians for granted. They know we won't vote for Hillary, so they can betray us on economic and border policy, because they know we "have to" vote pro-life.
However, this strategy didn't work with Ross Perot. The Democrats won two terms because of him, and while Bush 2 talked a good game to get us back, he hasn't actually been very fiscally conservative.
Also, this year is particularly important because of the supreme court vacancies that are likely to come up soon. Of course the democrat congress might block the best judges anyway.
