Insulting and devaluing elderly persons

A lot of insults are being hurled at Robert Mueller today from people who obviously devalue the elderly. Commenter Citizen Director writes about it at the MOTUS AD blog today.
It disgusts me to hear ppl throwing out the "dementia" diagnosis as though it is relevant. Dementia is the new "nigger". Ppl completely ignorant of the meaning or symptoms of dementia throw it at anyone over 60 like it's rice onto the married couple.

Memory loss does not equal "dementia". The utter ignorance!

Also, whether ppl noticed it or not, Muller was being bombarded with questions. He faced a lot of different ppl who had different ways of questioning, different pronunciations and different questions. Geez, can no one imagine how much pressure he was under and how difficult that is?

Asking anyone in a courtroom or courtroom-like settings to repeat their question makes sense. This was even bigger - it was televised. He needed to make wise decisions about every single thing he said. He needed to be correct. Asking someone to repeat the question buys time to answer and ensures you thoroughly understand the question and have not missed or misunderstood a word.

This guy in the video saying because Muller didn't remember or know who Fusion GPS is "should be medicated or be in a home" is a jerk. He clearly has no empathy for the elderly: His idea of disposing with them is "medicated and put in a home". What a pig.

I am not a Muller fan, but I will defend the rights of the elderly to be respected, understood helped and valued until I die. Throwing the words "dementia" and "alzheimers" at Muller insults all elderly persons and creates a society that devalues them even more.
