Now the debate commission admits "there were issues regarding Donald Trump's audio"

The Commission on Presidential Debates confirmed Friday that there were "issues" with Republican nominee Donald Trump's microphone during the first debate.

"Regarding the first debate, there were issues regarding Donald Trump's audio that affected the sound level in the debate hall," the commission said in a terse statement. The exact nature of the problem was not described.

Trump complained about a defective microphone immediately after the debate.

"And they also had — gave me a defective mic," he said. "Did you notice that my mic was defective within the room?"
