Observations at the gym

Tonight at the local gym there were lots of people. Most had cell phones they were either looking at or listening to with ear plugs. One particularly obese woman even had Star gossip magazine to sit and read, instead of doing the exercise the machine was there to assist with. Only one person was actually talking on his phone. He was from India, and talking very loudly, saying words and sentences in English that I could not understand. On the television screen was the soccer game between the US and Bulgaria. No one watched it or even glanced up at it.
