Ho Hum

Next week's Democrat Convention in Denver is not something that has a majority of Coloradans fired up. The Rocky Mountain News yesterday reported that 9% of Coloradans were thrilled, another 15% were excited, and another 20% were "interested."

The remaining 56% were either indifferent, worried, or annoyed. Count me in that latter group.

The vast majority of Springfieldians were pretty uninterested in Obama's Big Thing at the Old State Capitol yesterday, too. The rest of us were honked off because he crashed one of our favorite summer parties - the Old State Capitol Blues and BBQ was scheduled for Saturday since last year - and was completely ruined until after they bugged out of town about 4pm.
Did you note that our wonderful Gov. Blago was politely invited to be elsewhere for the big rally in Springfield? Roumer has it that 7 felony indictments await our wonnerful governer, and they are coming up soon now that the rezko thing is about done.

My Point: why would anyone look to Illinois for a president. Since Lincoln, Illinois poiticos are the worst crooks in the nation.

Where I live Obama hasn't much of a chance. But frankly the choices here are ho hum.
