Should Protecting America From Terrorists Be a Priority for Our Elected Leaders?

There is a column in the January 3, 2006 Rocky Mountain News by University of Colorado law professor Paul Campos that ridicules political leaders who advocate for making our nation's security a top priority. Campos says such political leaders "tremble before the threat of terrorism." This, of course, is the kind of thinking that prevailed in the Clinton White House, and directly led to the attacks on our country throughout the world in the 1990s and in America on September 11, 2001. Terrorists attack when and where they sense weakness. If our law students at the University of Colorado are buying Campos' absurd, mocking attempt at logic, we really do have reason to be fearful for our nation's future!
