..."militant illiberalism, including their contempt for free speech and open discourse,"

On November 21, Rod Dreher wrote in part,
Hundreds of “anti-hate” protesters took to the UC Berkeley campus tonight to protest Ann Coulter’s speech, and to try to prevent people from going in to hear her.

...those young people who join the mobs, they are going to graduate and move into the institutions of American life. They are going to carry their militant illiberalism, including their contempt for free speech and open discourse, into those institutions, and are going to do their damnedest to institutionalize them. One thing I have learned from the past few months spent studying Soviet-bloc communism: watch the intellectual class. It is a very big mistake to think that what they say and do only matters in the shadow of the ivory tower. They are the ones who produce the ideas that are eventually spread through society. If you don’t care about this stuff when it happens now, on campuses, you had better prepare yourself to be made to care later, when graduates of these campuses are setting corporate policy, or serving as gatekeepers to the institutions you want your “deplorable” kids to get into. This is not a joke.

Sexual reign of terror?

In the Bookworm Room, Wolf Howling writes in part,
...As Third Wave feminists would have it, sex is no longer sinful and dirty in the Augustinian sense. Instead, it’s much worse: all heterosexual sex is presumed to be rape unless the woman does not complain.

Even as men are no longer expected to act with chivalry towards women, since the rise of Obama, they are expected to abide by rules more strict than any Victorian era law in that they allow women to claim rape at any time during or after consensual sex. Men are presumed guilty and may or (preferably for radical feminists) may not be given any chance to prove their innocence. In the Third Wave world, though, women are free to be promiscuous without consequence and should exercise complete power in the world of sex.

From the satirical Babylon Bee: U.S.—New documents have revealed the greatest presidential scandal in the history of our nation -- maybe even the world. The documents, obtained from a whistleblower, show that the White House was behind a series of murders of state and local officials and certain businessmen, all as part of a scheme to cover up bribes received by the president himself from such countries as Iran and North Korea.

This should not only lead to President Donald Trump being impeached but also to his arrest and perhaps his execution for treason. We will give you further details as they emerge.

UPDATE: On further analysis of the documents, the events in question actually took place in 2015 when Barack Obama was president. Since this doesn’t involve Trump and instead is just on some minor issue with Obama (who probably knew what he was doing), we’re just going to go ahead and delete this completely irrelevant story and replace it with analysis of the latest Trump tweet. Can you believe what he just said?

Rudy Giuliani's letter to Senator Graham

n the Conservative Treehouse, a commenter named islandpalmtrees has taken the time to provide us with Rudy Giuliani's letter to Senator Graham. Look for it here in the comments.

"I can't keep up with all the false information being printed about me!" "Am I afraid? Was I afraid when I was prosecuting the mafia? No, I'm not afraid of anything your colleagues in the media are saying!"

"This is a conspiracy to frame President Trump!" "When I found the corruption that was being ignored by this corrupt press that we have, I became outraged!" "If Joe Biden is not prosecuted for these crimes, then nobody in America should ever be prosecuted for bribery!"

Setting up the spying

In the Conservative Treehouse, Sundance reports,
The New York Times is confirming that Kevin Clinesmith is the “low-level lawyer” within the FBI who doctored evidence within the Carter Page FISA application.

As anticipated, the DOJ and FBI ‘small group’ leaks are from their individual review of a heavily compartmented IG report; and now they are being selectively shaped by the favorite ‘small group’ media network: NY Times, Washington Post, CNN, Politico et al.

...they didn’t just get a ‘wiretap’, they got a Title-1 FISA authorized surveillance warrant; the most extensive and intrusive form of surveillance warrant possible. A Title-1 warrant allows any and all surveillance. Wiretaps, bugs, electronic surveillance, physical surveillance, the works. A Title-1 warrant is used against suspected terrorists in the U.S.

He and his commenters write much more here.

Now from Sundance's commenters:
southernsue says, wonder if this guy thinks it was worth it now that he will serve time
he just threw his life away for the puppet masters
he will go down
and the puppet masters are still walking around free
sad for this guy’s family
he threw his life away for nothing
he sold his soul to satan
sad sad sad

David A said, “Mr. Clinesmith took an email from an official at another federal agency that contained several factual assertions, then added material to the bottom that looked like another assertion from the email’s author, when it was instead his own understanding.”

Sounds just like the impeachment fraud. Only instead of an email it was a phone call and all the deep staters inserted their own desired and creative spin, including Schiff and the lies he read into the congressional record. This is clearly willful fraud, not confirmation bias.

hawkins6 said, ...Only a naive fool would believe that personal bias had no effect on these conspirators but it’s hard to prove “beyond a reasonable doubt.” The numerous interviews of Comey, Brennan, McCabe etc over the last few years were filled with intense disrespect, vitriolic hate and repugnance of PT. It’s not reasonable to believe these powerful emotions had no affect on their actions. Brennan’s toxic message to President Trump, ‘May Your Downfall Be Swift’ is the latest indication that sourpuss Brennan didn’t suddenly develop his mind altering toxic biases after he was replaced. His words reveal a personal vendetta against an elected President and a total lack of respect for PT’s voters.

Schiff, when he was first elected to Congress: "“I think voters want to get away from the strong partisanship we’ve seen in Congress and elect someone with a good record of working in a bipartisan way to find solutions,”

In the Daily Caller, David Hasson reports,
While Democratic California Rep. Adam Schiff today is the face of Democrats’ impeachment push, the 10-term congressman first won his seat by staking out a hard line against the impeachment of former President Bill Clinton.

Schiff defeated former Republican California Rep. James Rogan in 2000 by hammering Rogan’s role in the Clinton impeachment.

“Impeachment as a political issue has all but disappeared from America’s political radar in this election, with even Al Gore refusing to make the partisan death match of 1998 and 1999 a campaign issue in the year 2000. But here, in California’s 27th District, Rogan’s battle with Democratic state Sen. Adam Schiff seems the last bloody battle of the impeachment war,” Anthony York recounted in an October 2000 Salon article.

Schiff “used impeachment as a fundraising tool,” York noted in the article, which the Daily Caller News Foundation reviewed using research service LexisNexis.

“Schiff’s campaign literature hammers away on Rogan’s role in the impeachment proceedings,” The Washington Post noted in a May 2000 article. Schiff argued in one fundraising missive that “in the partisan impeachment hearings that polarized our nation for so long, the right-wing Rogan stood out,” The San Diego Tribune reported that same month in an article reviewed by the DCNF using Lexis.

“The district simply has not been a priority for him. He has been more engaged in national partisan ideological crusades than in issues important to the district,” Schiff told the Los Angeles Times in January 2000, apparently referring to impeachment.

“I think voters want to get away from the strong partisanship we’ve seen in Congress and elect someone with a good record of working in a bipartisan way to find solutions,” he added.

The Trump impeachment inquiry headed by Schiff received zero support from Republicans, while two Democrats voted against the inquiry.

Schiff’s office did not return the DCNF’s request for comment for this article.

Surrendering to the woke totalitarians

You may have heard that Chick-fil-A, under pressure from the LGTBQ community, has decided to stop contributing to the Salvation Army, and those contributions were very sizeable. The national commander of the Salvation Army clarifies where the organization stands on helping any person who needs help. It is sad to see Chick-fil-A surrender to the woke totalitarians. Messing with the wrong guy

Three days later we learn about it

Many of us have been turning to the Epoch Times for reporting about the democracy movement in Hong Kong. Three days ago some people broke into the Epoch Times in Hong Kong and set in on fire. No major media reported it, but Ace of Spades reports that Sharyl Attkisson and Ian Miles Cheong reported it.

Biden threatens Senator Lindsey Graham

In Breitbart, Joshua Caplan reports,
Former Vice President Joe Biden threatened Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) for launching an investigation into his activities with Ukraine while in the Obama White House, stating the Republican will “regret” the move his “whole life.”

On Thursday, Graham sent a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo requesting documents to aid in determining whether Biden pushed for the firing of Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin to squash a sweeping probe into Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian energy giant where his son, Hunter Biden, served as a board member. The younger Biden was compensated generously, making up to $83,000 a month for several years while on the Burisma’s board.

“Lindsey is about to go down in a way that I think he’s going to regret his whole life,” Biden told CNN host Don Lemon in a Friday interview in South Carolina. “I say Lindsey, I just — I’m just embarrassed by what you’re doing, for you. I mean, my Lord.”

Racing to the finish line

One big story today is about an FBI agent getting indicted for altering a document. Of course, the place to go to educate yourself about it is to the Conservative Treehouse, where Sundance goes into incredible depth. And, don't forget to read his commenters, who are raising many interesting scenarios to think about. Sundance is a cut above anyone else I read when it comes to dissecting the various possibilities inherent in the latest developments. Read it all here.

No, nada, nothing

"The leaks start with a whopper!"

From the Conservative Treehouse:
Horowitz Leaks Begin – FBI Official Caught Altering FISA Documents, Now Under Criminal Investigation…
Posted on November 21, 2019 by Sundance in the Conservative Treehouse
Here we go. Today is the day the inspector general closed the “Principal Review” phase of the upcoming IG report. Now is when the small group of corrupt DOJ and FBI officials -spotlighted by the IG investigation- begin trying to shape the narrative; and the leaks start with a whopper:

….An FBI official was caught altering documents within the 2016 surveillance operation against President Trump…

Keep in mind which FBI officials are now working for the media outlet, CNN, that is providing the leaks; ie. former FBI Deputy Director, Andrew McCabe; the spokesman for James Comey, Josh Campbell; a former FBI agent, Asha Rangappa; or the former FBI chief legal counsel, James Baker. All now work for CNN.

It’s important to note the media source aspect because normally this type of leak would go to the Washington Post or New York Times first; ergo, it likely stems as a personal leak to one of the former allied FBI officials now working for CNN.

Washington (CNN) – An FBI official is under criminal investigation after allegedly altering a document related to 2016 surveillance of a Trump campaign adviser, several people briefed on the matter told CNN.

The possibility of a substantive change to an investigative document is likely to fuel accusations from President Donald Trump and his allies that the FBI committed wrongdoing in its investigation of connections between Russian election meddling and the Trump campaign.

[…] Horowitz turned over evidence on the allegedly altered document to John Durham.

[…] It’s unknown how significant a role the altered document played in the FBI’s investigation of Page and whether the FISA warrant would have been approved without the document. The alterations were significant enough to have shifted the document’s meaning and came up during a part of Horowitz’s FISA review where details were classified, according to the sources.

[…] The identity or rank of the FBI employee under investigation isn’t yet known, and it’s not clear whether the employee still works in the federal government. No charges that could reflect the situation have been filed publicly in court.

The Justice Department and inspector general’s office declined to comment.

"...you might need to examine the mental prisons you've constructed for yourself."

In the American Thinker, J.B. Shurk writes in part,
After decades of incremental movement toward a one-government Europe, the people of the U.K. pushed back. After decades of uni-party leadership in D.C., Americans said, "No more." Regardless of one's personal politics, these events should have at least seemed interesting to people who see themselves as reflective connoisseurs of the history of ideas. Instead, they chose to see nothing at all. It could all be explained away quite easily, they have assured, by detestable appeals to "populism" and "racism," with a little Russian propaganda sprinkled in for good measure.

Warning!

Why can't they do that when reporting on American news?

Sometimes, like tonight, I finish my gym workout quite a bit sooner than my sons, who, like tonight, may have challenged two other guys to a basketball game. When that happens, I grab a magazine from the rack. People bring in their used magazines, all of which tend to be far-left rags. I live in Santa Fe, New Mexico, which is where many liberal retired persons come to die. Tonight, I read The Week, which attacks the president with one-sided interpretations of every news event they report.

What I found interesting, though, is that when they reported on "The world at a glance," their stories tended to have more than one point of view. Why can't they do that when reporting on American news, I wondered?
