Jeannie DeAngelis is one of Obama's most vocal and consistent critics. This week she reprises that State of the Union address by the President when he attempted to humiliate members of the Supreme Court. All it did was show him to be a classless cheap shot artist.
The issue was the Court's 5-4 decision to remove the ceiling on corporate campaign contributions. But, as Jeannie writes,
The take-away from the 2010 State of the Union address, when the President inappropriately slammed the Supreme Court, was Judge Alito’s facial expression in reaction to what Obama said. After the president launched his critical remonstration in the direction of the conservative arm of the court, Alito scrunched up his face, shook his head in disapproval, and joined Joe ‘You Lie’ Wilson (R-SC) in pointing out to America that what the president said was “not true.”
Oh yes, remember when Representative Wilson in 2009 interrupted Obama's address to a joint session of Congress on Health Care by spontaneously shouting, "You lie!" Wilson was re-elected in 2012 with an astounding 96 percent of the vote! All four of Wilson's sons achieved the rank of Eagle scout, according to Wikipedia.
Back to Obama's attempted humiliation of the five members of the Supreme Court. Notice Senator Schumer jump up and clap vigorously behind Justice Alito, while Alito shook his head and mouthed the words, "Not true!" Also note Attorney General Eric Holder standing next to the Justices and clapping away. Classless thugs, Obama, Holder, and Schumer.
And, while the high-pitched voice of the whiny President complained, I would point out that Obama did not hesitate to take the money from all manner of contributors, foreign and domestic.
