Shelby Steele is a guest on tonight's Mark Levin show on Fox. Mark asks him what is this insurrection about? Shelby answers, "We want more from this society that is responsible for us!" Shelby goes on to say that blacks have never been less oppressed than they are today. Opportunity is around every corner.
Looking at black Americans, Shelby asks what amount of responsibility are you taking? Are you saying, "I'm a victim, I'm owed?"
What happens? A grievance industry springs up controlled by the Democrat Party for the blacks to receive all that white beneficence.
Mark's next guest was Bob Woodson who said, "Nothing is more lethal than to provide people with an excuse for their own failure!"
On Twitter tonight Cory Clark shared research on the tendency to perceive oneself as a victim.
"The tendency to perceive oneself as a victim is a stable personality trait, associated w/feelings of moral superiority, entitlement, revenge desire, rumination, lack of trust & empathy, negative attributions to others, & perceiving offenses as more severe:"
