Media rushes to defend John McCain against Trump, even though McCain started the fight by calling Trump's audience "crazies"
Sure enough, the media is highlighting Trump's comments about John McCain, without mentioning the fact that McCain started this whole brouhaha by saying that the people who came to Trump's event in Phoenix were "crazies." For example of the media spin, check out Politico's coverage.

Straight out of the media's playbook: Divide and conquer Republicans. And their is a reason Republicans are known as the "stupid" party. They will play right into it.
