This blog is looking for wisdom, to have and to share. It is also looking for other rare character traits like good humor, courage, and honor. It is not an easy road, because all of us fall short. But God is love, forgiveness and grace. Those who believe in Him and repent of their sins have the promise of His Holy Spirit to guide us and show us the Way.

9-11 in retrospect: Klaven and Whittle
Bill Whittle and Andrew Klaven have a conversation on this sacred 9-11 day in America. It’s been twelve years since the worst terrorist attack in American history. What have we learned in retrospect? Klaven: Bush waited too long to do the surge. Whittle: but Bush had the courage to reverse course and do the surge; what he lacked was rhetorical skill to make the case to the American people. Why were we in Iraq, after Saudis attacked us through Afghanistan? What would have been the proper response to 9-11? Whittle: the biggest threat is our security apparatus scaring Americans into thinking that they can not speak their minds freely. Do we really want to exchange temporary security for essential liberties? No!
