Yesterday I made a quick stop at the supermarket. I had fresh fruit and some microwave meals in the cart. A woman who calls herself a Christian, and who knows that I also call myself a Christian, came up to me. She told me I should not purchase microwave meals, because they are high in salt. I laughed and told her I would probably put salt on them if I were cooking them from scratch, and kept going toward the check out lanes.
I buy the Marie Callendar meals that have a good balance of vegetables and meat, and I also had a couple of Lean Cuisine meals.
It is none of her business what nourishment I choose to put in my body. Somewhere she heard (probably on Pat Robertson's t.v. program, which is where she gets most of her information) that all microwave meals are bad for you. I resent her nannyism.
