"Nothing!"

My daughter is in the seventh grade. She sort of got in trouble today in school. She and two friends were talking to one another, when they were supposed to be sketching superheroes in art class. A friend passed her a note asking her, "What are you doing with your life?" She wrote a one word response: "Nothing!" She folded the paper and stuffed it in the pocket in the front of her hoodie.

At that point the teacher (a sub) asked her, "What is in your pocket? My daughter replied, "Nothing!" She pulled her paper out of her hoodie pocket, and showed the teacher what it said: "Nothing!"
